Frequently Asked Questions

Did we answer your question? Contact us for more inquiries.

What happens if there's inclement weather?

The majority of the weekend is spent outside, which means that the weather forecast is something we are always watching. We do have “rainy day” plans already prepared for the occasional thunderstorm. If there is dangerous weather warnings like tornado watches, we retreat to our large meeting room and wait until it’s clear.

Do the cabins have air conditioning?

Yes, we try to be as inclusive as possible for all dietary restrictions and needs. Please visit our resources page and fill out a dietary restriction form so our kitchen staff can prepare for your stay.

Do you accomodate for special diets?

We honor and provide for almost every dietary restriction. Special diet requests/notes are a part of our secure online registration process. If you need to let us know about any special diets or notes for your campers, just give us a call at 936-295-7641 or email us at klanham@forestglen.org

Can I come by myself?

While Family Weekend is a great way to spend time outdoors, we strongly encourage groups to register as a unit. Since the retreat is targeted to families, we ask individuals to attend different, separate events.
