1965
Camp Good News is Established
Child Evangelism Fellowship of Harris Co. began its first session of Camp Good News in Spring, TX, with the aim to grow faith in children through outdoor activities.
1974
The First Summer Camp
After purchasing a new plot of land in the Piney Woods, Camp Good News hosts its first summer camp, with nothing but some tents and a toolshed.

1984
A Fully Formed Concept
Camp Good News, now officially Forest Glen Camps, has become a nice facility serving up to 160 campers at a time for Camp Good News, church camps, and weekend retreats.
2004
Lakeside Opens
Forest Glen officially opens a second retreat center on site, offering similiar retreat style amenities for groups.

Serving Year Round
Forest Glen Caps now hosts 30,000+ campers yearly, and is one of the biggest camp and retreats center in East Texas, serving groups in Houston, the Woodlands, Conroe and Huntsville.
