This is the second workday with Camp Wilderness Ridge as a ministry of Forest Glen Camps. There's a lot of work to come before we're ready for our first summer of many at the Springs! We need your help!

The primary focus of work projects is the preliminary tasks for new home of Camp Wilderness Ridge, including cutting brush & collecting debris in areas for marksmanship, amphitheater and High Ropes. Depending on sign ups, we may also focus on building picnic benches for the new dining area.

Please bring the following items if you have them:

  • work gloves
  • brush trimmers/loppers
  • chainsaw (Only if experienced! Safety chaps and eye protection required.)

Dry-In Event

We will be installing plywood and waterproofing on the sides of the building and on the roof of the building. This will involve heavy and awkward lifting. Some basic carpentry skills is needed to perform cuts on the plywood.

Cabin Demolition

We will be performing a salvage demolition on one of our old cabins. This will involve careful execution of prying wood siding and various other wood material off the building so that we can either donate or reuse the material. This project will also involve removal of shingles, insulation, and other material. Carpentry skills not needed. Personal Protection Equipment will be provided to protect you from dust, splinters, and other small debris.
